what is the value of 1957 silver cert. serial #-*71111111A?
$1.00 circulated more interested in the 7 & the 7 ones very rare, Know any collectors?
Assuming it’s a 1 dollar bill.
This depends on the condition of the note and series.
1957A or 1957B
CU is worth $10.00
XF is worth $3.50
Fine is worth $2.00
Since your note is a star (*) note, and it has an unusual serial number. you may get a lot more from a collector of these types of notes.
But the biggest thing is, the condition of the note.
Understand what your saying. But 7 & 7 do not make a note rare. These numbers are on every batch of demonation printed.
Example. If they printed 10 $1 notes the serial number would be 1-10, if they printed the same bills the following year it would be 1A – 10A. if they make a misstake printing one which is not often then they would reprint that note with a star (*). *1
What makes a note rare is how many exist in the world. There are tons of silver cirtificates out there in CU condition.
Theres a great chance that other people have the numbers, 1111111, 2222222, 3333333, etc.
I have several Silver and Gold Certificates that are worth quit a bit, but the serial number has nothiing to do with it. Unless it was a rare note with a number like 0000001 then it would be rare and the first one printed.
If you Google Silver Certificates, you will find tons of info maybe a buyer. Also if you check ebay you will find lots of silver certificates like yours.
The numbers on your note is based on who is into that and what they are willing to pay. If I had to buy it I would not pay no more than $5 based on its condition.
Hope you can find more info and someone into serial numbers.
