Is it worth it to send my coin to get graded?
I have one of the Abraham Lincoln Commemorative Proof Silver Dollars and 2009 District of Columbia & U.S. Territories Quarters Silver Proof Set. Should I have it graded by a coin grading service. If so how much would it cost and who should I have it graded by. I was thinking ANACS.
The link should answer the cost question. Certifying your coins would certainly increase the selling price, but it may not cover the cost of certification. The proof set is sealed in a hard mint case, so, technically, those are certified by the US Mint. I am not sure about the Lincoln dollars though. They are all common coins, so the value may never be all that high. In the end it is up to you. I hope that helped.
