In case of the base metal for the ring there are of course several choices like yellow gold, white gold, silver, platinum, titanium or any other precious metal. The yellow gold is obviously the most popular metal for the wedding band but the fact is that other than that the other metals mentioned above are almost equally in demand these days. The fact is that it is the inner tendency of the people to go with the latest trend of the era. Other than that there are also several other things to remember that the platinum rings are precious and has a touch of elegance and styling. Besides that the white gold rings are also quite popular these days. The white gold is an alloy of gold and any other white metal like platinum, silver and others. It is noticed that many couples these days prefer to have their rings made of white gold these days.
Other than the metal the gem or the precious stone for the wedding ring is equally important. Though it is often seen these days that people prefer to have plain rings for the reason that with regular usage decorative rings can get damaged. But still most of the people prefer to have some precious stone or gem fitted in the ring and in most cases the choice is of diamond.
