Which is better to seal a bottle of wine: cork or a Screw Top? Why?

Believe it or not, many wine makers (even the expensive ones) are going to screw tops. They seal tighter so the wine stays fresher longer. Not too many people know to store wine in its side, so the cork gets dry and brittle and therefore doesn’t seal well. (How many shops that sell wine do you see actually store and stock their wine on its side?) Not to mention, the expense makers save on cork! And how awful are those foam-like “corks” !?! I hate those things!
